5 anti motivation thoughts you have to escape
Much people teach what you have to do to have better weight loss motivation, but I want to write about which thoughts you have to escape during your diet.
Motivation is what you forbid yourself to think about. If you escape having anti thoughts then it will be easier for you to follow your physical weight loss goal.
These anti motivation thoughts very often are in my head and I am trying to avoid them. I hope you will be able to do it as well.
1) “I am too fat, I can not achieve that.”
This anti motivation thought is inside the head of every man or woman who have started weight loss program. “Too fat, too ugly” – forget about these.
It is bad, because:
- it stops your progress;
- it is not suitable thought to your new nice looking body you are going to have;
Turn it into something like: “I have great body, I deserve it and I am happy with it” - and imagine your desired body.
This will construct motivation thoughts suitable to your new future body. Also it will give you self esteem to follow your fat loss plans.
2) “This weight loss goal doesn’t deserve so much of my efforts.”
This is some kind of excuse not to do training. Even worse, sometimes it is sign of desperation and probably will be reason to fail with your goal.
No matter if your weight loss goal is high or not it deserves all of your efforts. Remember that you do all these things for yourself.
Why it deserves:
- Because your results after while will be good enough and you will value it;
- Because making efforts will train your physic and make it resistible against difficulties;
So, try to replace this anti motivation thought with something like: “Every effort I make will bring me ten times more results” or something similar, but it has to be positive.
3) “It can wait, because I have to do important things first.”
Sometimes it is not so easy to determine, which things have more importance. But weight loss can not be less important. Once you have decided to lose weight it becomes very important part of your life and you have to be very serious about it.
If you have started weight loss program then you have to take care about your own motivation during it and follow your plans no matter what, to the end.
Probable consequences of this thought:
- Weak results caused by taking care about less important problems;
- More pounds stored, because of ignoring the main problem;
- All these lead to desperation;
I am trying to focus on my weight loss period by making daily nutrition and trainings plans. This helps me to think of it and do not forget about my main goal.
4) “It is my destiny to be fat, I can’t fight against it.”
This is very bad, because it is some king of desperation. Once you have trapped in it’s “hands” is hard to escape – but not impossible, so do not panic.
Why these thoughts are so bad?
- It is reconciling with your current situation;
- It is hard to solve any problem, with such thinking;
- It is not suitable with your new nice looking body;
Every person can change current situation. People have built so big cities and countries, so think again is it possible to build your own body. “My destiny is to change my life and become better person” is right motivation thought.
So keep it.
5) “I am alone, there are no friends to help me.”
It is bad to be alone, but today is not so hard to find people with same goals who can help you and share experience with you.
Consequences:
- This take you away from your true friends and people;
- This will make you close into yourself;
- This will make you always wait someone to help you;
When you feel yourself thinking like that try to talk with someone who have same goal to achieve. You will see that friends can be found everywhere. Be with people and be yourself – get use to it.
All these anti motivation thoughts are very often in my head too, but I always search for solution and I find “stay focused techniques” which works for me. It is not so hard to solve problems like these. When I solve mine I am feeling great – it is like drug:)
Summary:
- Always see good side of the problems;
- Replace your bad thoughts with positive;
- Every problem no matter how big it is has a solution – wise words of very close to me person I follow;
