Another approach to stop overeating problem consequences
I won’t write about what overeating is. I won’t discuss it’s consequences for weight loss nutrition and diets, but another approach to reduce or stop these “side” effects.
While reading this article you will see that you are very well-known with much things about overeating.
So, I want to show you how I cope with overeating and which techniques really worked for me.
First read this quotation and ask a question “Is this your case?”:
“A better-documented problem is night eating syndrome, in which people do the majority of their eating late at night. A 1999 study in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that by 6 p.m., people with night eating syndrome consumed a little more than a third of their daily calories, while a control group had consumed almost three-quarters. Between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., however, the night eaters consumed 56% of daily calories, while controls consumed only 15%.”
I think this is the worst case. I had the same problem. I took most of the forbidden food with my dinner and before go to the bed. My stomach was full and I was not able to use fats for energy during the night.
If I overeat after training or morning these consequences won’t exist.
As overeating is some kind of sickness, one way to beat it (actually it’s problem effects) is to create another sickness to shift this one. It sounds crazy I know – BUT IT WORKS.
How to do it?
1) Shift the overeating time.
This is new approach to the problem.
I shift sickness time – I am trying to overeat in the morning and after training.
The sickness still exists, but by shift it’s time when my body needs energy I am able to digest most of the food I’ve been taken. It has one more positive effect – you don’t force your body and psychic to do something which is hard for you. If you force it too much the problem will become even stronger.
I have tried to beat the problem years ago, but I realized that if you try to solve it when don’t have enough psychical strength this can break you down for long a time.
So you have to do it step by step – until finally stop it.
2) Overeat with good foods – this reduces consequences even more.
Another approach and next step – start to change bad and sweet foods with good once. Rice instead of chocolate, fruits instead of ice-cream, more protein foods and so on…
You will be able to achieve two things.
First, your body will get used to good and healthy foods and Second, the negative consequences will disappear gradually.
It is great. You don’t have to reduce your daily meals drastically, at the same time you will be able to reduce your weight and meet your body with healthy foods.
This was exactly what happened to me – and there was another thing I realized – Sometimes simple changes in diet or habits may bring even better weight loss results than elaborate schemes.
3) Stop overeating problem and consequences once forever.
Take time to get used to previous two changes. After feel you are ready you should finally heal the sickness.
If you want further weight loss results and make your nutrition as good as possible you have to eliminate overeating problem. Don’t worry – you will be able to do it if you are already used to the sickness change.
Previous two steps may take long time, but don’t worry there is no dead-line.
So, as I said if you are already used to these changes it is time to reduce the food’s amount. Not drastically, but step by step. This may take long time as well, but it is normal, so don’t stop to work for it.
If you feel it is hard then reduce the food’s amount slowly bit by bit.
Summary:
- Shift the time when you overeat – breakfast and after training is the best time if you want to reduce the consequences.
- Change the food when overeating time comes – overeat with healthy foods.
- Reduce overeating meal’s food step by step – and finally stop the problem.

“Once my food starts to decrease I will separate it into more pieces than before. This will take me more time to eat my meal and my brain will start to think that I eat as much as before.”
