Breakfast - My nutrition discovery and experience
With this article I want to show you what kind of discovery my experience brought to me about breakfast and how I apply it to my weight loss nutrition plans.
May be you already know much about nutrition during weight loss period, so I won’t try to fill your head with more information about this topic. I just want to share with you what I discovered and how it helps me to achieve better weight loss results. Some of these things you can apply to your nutrition plan if you didn’t applied them yet.
Discovery one:
- If I overeat on breakfast this won’t be so bad.
YES. Breakfast time is great time if you have problems with overeating. This discovery comes to confirm that when your body needs fast energy (in the morning it does) you can eat more than every other part of the day.
Explanation:
Liver is the place where carbohydrates are stored for energy. During the night your body uses them for energy and after their exhausting, it starts to use your fats. When you wake up you have to fill your liver with carbos, but don’t think it is so easy to do it. At no other part of the day your liver is so empty.
That why breakfast is the most important meal during the day.
Discovery two:
- My morning nutrition include sweet food.
Breakfast is one of the best time when you can allow yourself something sweet. My experience shows me that this is not so bad. I don’t have so fast metabolism, but if I eat some sweet food in the morning it doesn’t make me fatter.
Explanation:
As I said in the morning your body needs fast energy and the best food which can deliver fast energy is sweet (“bad”) food. It is like that because bad food contains high glycemic index carbohydrates.
So, if you refuse to forget about sweet food now is the time to eat some chocolate.
Discovery three:
- I eat before my weight loss training.
My experience also brought to me another discovery. Many people recommend to do your morning cardio with empty stomach. I recommend it too, but if you are a male and want to lose only fats (not muscles) it is good to drink something (coffee for example) and take small portion of protein rich food – chicken steak or eggs. This will remove the feeling of hunger and keep your muscles untouched .
Explanation:
Because you stomach can’t digest protein from food so fast your body won’t use it for energy. It will use your fats. Also your body spend energy to digest the food – this will force it to uses even more energy from fats.
Quick info:
Our body digests egg white for about 1 hour and a half. Eggs are the fastest protein food.
Discovery four:
- Don’t miss breakfast – nutrition aspect №1
You should not miss the breakfast. If I miss my morning meal I can’t achieve the same benefits.
Explanation:
When you miss your breakfast your body will start to use muscles for energy. If you start to lose muscles then you won’t see the weight loss effect –why? - because you reduce fats, but also reduce muscles – so less weight, but same visual look.
So, this is small part of discoveries I learnt by my experience. After that when I already have much more information I realized that these nutrition discoveries were true.
