Make your lunch best weight loss nutrition


Lunch time is very important part of your weight loss nutrition plan and I am sure you know that too. It is critical, but you can turn it into best advantage.

Afternoon meal is tricky. You do not have carbohydrate window (you have it after sleep time and after training) and your metabolism is slower than any other part of the day.

Lunch time is the best time to put in use your healthy food. Your body needs as good as possible food during afternoon to continue with it’s and keep burning fats.

Lunch is important part of your weight loss nutrition plan, because:

  • When lunch time comes you are hungrier than any other part of the day;
  • Afternoon is the middle of your important day at work;
  • You do not want to mess up your previous weight loss results;
  • You want to complete your daily nutrition tasks;

Let look at these points one by one.

1) You are hungrier during your lunch hour, so keep your nutrition an eye.

Your breakfast nutrition is past, your liver is full of carbohydrates and now it is time for lunch. You are hungrier, because you are more active after morning and your body has bigger needs.

Your nutrition here has to be well built. Choose low GI foods – brown rice, potatoes, cereal foods as your carbohydrate sources, but do not go too far. Take a lot of protein food – red meet, chicken chest are good choice.

If you take too much carbohydrates even if they are good, you risk to store fats, because your body needs slow secretion of glucose for next 3 or more hours, but too much is not good.

So, be careful with your lunch nutrition and do not take too “big bite”.

2) Middle of the day – time for fresh lunch.

May be you have noticed that sometimes after lunch you are very tired and it is hard to continue with your work.

This is because of wrong choice of foods for your lunch nutrition. More and less protein leads to sleep condition.
How to avoid it?
Next time when you have lunch reduce carbos amount and increase protein intake. You will be able to have more desire to work and will avoid turning more carbos into fats.

Actually it is great idea to take protein with every meal you have during your weight loss nutrition plan. Protein helps for better food treatment and also slows down carbohydrates digestion – which is great, because no matter if you take carbohydrates good or bad foods protein slows them down .

Remember:
More carbohydrates during lunch time are the main reason for your lazy condition.

Escape oily foods – It is hard I know. You do not have much time to eat healthy food and fast food is the best choice for much people. But small changes are very important. Next time eat small peace of bread and more meat or just shift the bread with veggies.

3) You already have weight loss results, so do not mess them up with your lunch.

If your breakfast is great and your dinner and after training nutrition are great too, then why you mess up whole picture with your lunch?

Start with small changes and form good lunch habits. Make protein food your best friend. If you like oily foods too much then try to reduce them or just try to eat oily meat or veggies – it is better than sugar foods or oily carbohydrate rich foods.

You need about 20 min to make the best weight loss lunch. So you do not have an excuse. I don’t have too, but also I don’t need it.

If you build good lunch habits you won’t need an excuse as well.

Tip: Every time when your lunch time comes change part of your carbohydrates food with protein rich food or veggies. But make a quick change. Do not let your stomach think – do the food change fast. You will see that it works.

4) You have good weight loss nutrition plan – make it best.

If you make it with your lunch then you will probably achieve your weight loss goal. When you have time make a quick list – what you eat on lunch and what you have to change if you want to make it better.

After that when your next lunch time comes you are going to be ready to make quick changes, because you already know what to change.

    There are good tips here for managing lunch. Most people faulter on their food choices at lunch is because they are very hungry. Eating a proper breakfast boosts your metabolism, and most people find they are hungry by 10am. After 2 hours of hunger, people hit up the greasy hamburger to fill up so they are not starving again at 3pm.

    I advocate eating healthy meals every three hours. As long as you properly track your calories, you will never be hungry and there is another meal right around the corner. This way there is less of a chance to make poor food choices because you feel as if you are starving.
